Derivatives market trading schedule changed for options expiration days

Beginning 14 April 2015, the evening trading session for derivatives will begin five minutes earlier on expiration days of weekly, monthly and quarterly options. The change was proposed by the Exchange Derivatives Market Committee following the introduction of a new option automatic exercise procedure.

Now :

• End of the main trading session: 06:45 pm MSK,
• Collection of option exercise instructions: 06:45 — 06:50 pm MSK,
• Start of the evening trading session: 07:10 pm MSK.

From 14 April:

• End of the main trading session: 06:45 pm MSK,
• Collection of option exercise instructions/exercise cancellations: 06:45 — 06:50 pm MSK,
• Start of the evening trading session: 07:05 pm MSK.
