Final settlement prices determined for September power futures contracts

On October 01, 2012 futures contracts on the average power price index in the Center hub (ECBQ-9.12, ECBM-9.12, ECPQ-9.12 and ECPM-9.12), Ural hub (EUBQ-9.12, EUBM-9.12, EUPQ-9.12 and EUPM-9.12), Western Siberia hub (SWBM-9.12) and Eastern Siberia hub (SEBM-9.12) were settled.

In accordance with the contracts' specifications the following final settlement prices were calculated:

ECBQ-9.12 — 1,111.00
ECBM-9.12 — 1,128.13
ECPQ-9.12 — 1,249.60
ECPM-9.12 — 1,251.85
EUBQ-9.12 — 1,113.74
EUBM-9.12 — 1,105.03
EUPQ-9.12 — 1,248.21
EUPM-9.12 — 1,223.66
SEBM-9.12 — 694.26
SWBM-9.12 — 804.24

The final settlement price is computed in accordance with the contracts' specifications based on the arithmetical mean of all values of the underlying power prices index.

The below positions were settled for the following amounts:

ECBQ-9.12 — 20 contracts for RUB4.911 million,
ECBM-9.12 — 1,116 contracts for RUB90.637 million,
ECPQ-9.12 —2 contracts for RUB0.194 million,
ECPM-9.12 — 144 contracts for RUB4.687 million.
EUBM-9.12 — 762 contracts for RUB60.734 million.
EUPM-9.12 — 166 contracts for RUB5.283 million.

55 trades in the III-d Quarter power futures contracts were executed for a total value of RUB73.106 million or 294 contracts.

1,678 trades in the September power futures contracts were executed for a total value of RUB1.206 billion or 16,525 contracts. Volume of trades settled amounted to RUB166 million or 2,210 contracts.
