Moscow Exchange and Moody's host securitisation seminar

Moscow Exchange and Moody's hosted a seminar on securitisation in London on 27 November.

During the seminar, an update was provided to potential investors and investment banks on new Russian legislation that allows for the placement of securitised debt.

Moody's presented its methodology and approach to analysing securitisation deals with major asset classes, namely SME loans, auto loans, public private partnership projects and mortgages.

Moscow Exchange presented on new debt instruments that can now be placed thanks to the new legislation, specifically non-MBS bank bonds and project bonds.

Participants in the seminar discussed the prospects for developing new asset classes, and representatives of Russian banks that are interested in placing collateralised bonds had an opportunity to speak directly with foreign investors and legal consultants.
