MOEX FX Fixings
Being the leading provider of trading, clearing, settlement, depositary, and information services in Russia and Eastern Europe MOEX is developing, calculating and distributing a vast variety of indicators for the Russian financial market.
Fixing is a method of setting (calculating) a widely recognized single benchmark price of a financial asset (currency, precious metal or others) during certain calculation period of time according to specified, transparent and agreed methodology and released after a calculation period by a benchmark administrator.
Moscow Exchange FX Fixings – exchange rates of one country’s currency expressed in a currency of another country that are determined (fixed) daily at 12:30 on data for the period from 12:15 to 12:30 MSK in accordance with the calculation methodology. The initial data for the calculation of currency fixings are orders and transactions on the FX market of the Moscow Exchange for certain spot instruments. The MOEX Fixings family includes MOEX USD/RUB FX FIXING as well as fixings for EUR/RUB, EUR/USD, CNY/RUB, TRY/RUB, HKD/RUB, USD/CNY representing the most liquid segments of the Russian FX market and as such offering the useful reference for all market participants.
The MOEX Fixings meet the requirements of domestic regulations (CBR) as well as IOSCO "Principles for Financial Benchmarks". USD/RUB FX FIXING is generally accepted and was included in the ISDA 1998 FX Definitions documentation in 2016. This fixing is used as the settlement price for exchange-traded and OTC cash-settled (non-deliverable) ruble FX derivatives.

Since November 09, 2020 FX fixings’ values on Moscow Exchange web-site (https://www.moex.com/en/fixing/) are available with 12-hours delay for non-authorized users. To obtain the ‘authorized user’ status enabling provision of the fixings’ values with no delay please register on MOEX web-site and arrange a paid subscription to a service of MOEX FX Fixings data provision in section "Market data subscription".
