Market data transmission on the Derivatives Market
From 12:28-12:32 today, transmission of market data on derivatives has been interrupted.
All services operate as usual now.
Updated at 4.05 pm
The cause of a brief interruption in market data distribution on the Derivatives Market at 12:28pm MSK today was incorrect operation of an element of the network infrastructure, specifically the load balancer. The Exchange"s back-up system functioned normally, and within 15 seconds a switch was made to the duplicate back-up infrastructure. Market data was not accessible to market participants until they switched over to the back-up system – which took from 30 seconds to 4 minutes depending on the type of connection used.
In the near future the Exchange plans to put equipment in place that will ensure that if one element of the network infrastructuremalfunctions the back-up system will kick in immediately (without the 15-second delay).
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
