Equity Indices for the Government sector

State-owned and Regulated companies indices are composite equity indices calculated based EOD prices of stocks of issuers with state in shareholders' structure for the State-owned Companies Index and for the Regulated Companies Index, issuers with the businesses which are additionally supervised and regulated by the Russian Ministries, mainly, infrastructure businesses. The index calculation approach is based on capitalization-weighted model and the each index is a total return index, taking into account dividend incomes.

MOEX State-Owned Companies Index is a composite index of shares of the public joint stock companies of Russia in respect of which it is determined by Russian Federation that shareholder rights are carried out by the Russian Government, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation or on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, as well as other actions, recommended by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the RF and The Federal Agency for State Property Management Agency (Rosimushchestvo).

MOEX Regulated Companies Index is a composite index of shares of companies of Russia included in the Register of natural monopolies, which is approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (until July 21, 2015 – approved by the Federal Tariff Service of the Russian Federation), as well as other actions, recommended by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the RF and The Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo).

The initial value of both indices is 1,000 points (as of December 30, 2011), calculation and publication are carried out once at the end of each calendar year.
