Notes for Derivatives market SPECTRA 6.3 release

Because of the upcoming SPECTRA 6.3 release we would like to pay your attention to the following most frequently asked questions
Q. In which number range will be the new order and deal IDs?
A. The ID example, which can be in production – 2012546079186223104. Take a note that the ID has 19 digits now. Respectively the order and deal IDs will have up to 19 characters in the reports.

Q. How many partitions there will be in releae 6.3?
A. One partition. As an alternative you may still use the previous interface and scheme without a partition number.
Q. When are you planning to add more partitions?
A. We are planning to start the public testing with several partitions in the third quarter of 2020.
Q. I tried to get the session ID from deal_id…
A. You should not do that! The inner ID structure is provided as information, the description accordance to the content is not guaranteed and can be changed in the future without a notification.
Q. Why does an orders_log entry with a placed order does not have activity flag?
A. The activity flag is an attribute of a deal, not an order. An order within its life cycle can be both active and passive. That is why we set the flags either in a deal entry, either in an entry with an order alteration caused by a deal.
Q. Is it possible to use one login for several partitions?
A. The technical capability to do so is available.
Q. Can these changes be tried on a test environment?
A. Can and should be! The T1 test environment is already updated to a new version.
