Moscow Exchange Forum 2017 begins

The Exchange Forum 2017 hosted by Moscow Exchange has been opened today at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow.

The Exchange Forum is Russia's largest conference for the professional financial markets community, bringing representatives of banks, brokerage firms, local and international investment funds, independent experts, analysts, regulators and business owners. The Forum seeks to identify the medium term outlook for the financial market and its Russia's market infrastructure.

More than 2,000 delegates will attend the event this year. Approximately 200 journalists from 38 Russian and international media organizations are expected to cover the event.

The plenary discussion will be devoted to such issues as the future of the Russian financial market, growth of the economy through capital raising efforts by Russian companies and priorities for government oversight of financial markets.

Alexander Afanasiev, CEO of Moscow Exchange, will open the plenary discussion in which Alexey Kudrin, member of the presidium of the Presidential Economic Council, Elvira Nabiullina, Central Bank Governor, Anton Siluanov, Finance Minister, Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development, Herman Gref, CEO of Sberbank, Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Mikhail Shamolin, President of Sistema, will participate.

The Forum agenda also includes panels sessions titled "Regulation: the market growth driver", "Digital challenges in the new economy" and "Capital raisings: changes for companies and investors" with government officials, representatives of the Russian biggest financial agencies and international investors.

Participants will discuss tactical aspects of financial market development within the framework of three afternoon panel discussions: "Banks and the exchange: Liquidity management and risk hedging", "Securities market: New instruments, technologies and new investors" as well as "Digital era post-trading: New opportunities".

This year's forum is partnering with Sberbank CIB to arrange one-to-one meetings between international investors and Russia's largest corporations.
