Exchange Forum 2019 set to begin in Moscow
The Exchange Forum 2019 hosted by Moscow Exchange will take place on 3 March at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Moscow.
The Exchange Forum is Russia's largest conference for the professional financial market community, bringing together representatives of banks, brokerage firms, local and international investment funds, independent experts, analysts, regulators and business owners. The Forum seeks to identify the medium term outlook for the financial market and Russia's market infrastructure.
More than 2,500 delegates are expected to attend the event this year. 150 journalists from over 30 Russian and international media are expected to cover the event.
The two plenary discussions will be devoted to such issues as financial policy for pursuing economic and capital markets development as well as technologies driving financial market growth.
Alexander Afanasiev, CEO of Moscow Exchange, will open the panel discussion in which Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets; First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia Sergey Shvetsov, Vladimir Kolychev, Deputy Finance Minister, Dmitry Konov, Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR and Nikoly Tsekhomsky, First Deputy Chairman at VEB.RF will discuss financial policy in support of economic growth and capital markets development. The session will be moderated by Moscow Exchange Board Chairman Oleg Viyugin.
A panel with senior policy makers and top executives from a number of Russian corporates will focus on "Technologies driving financial market growth". The participants will include First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia Sergey Shvetsov, CEO of Aton Andrey Zvyozdochkin, CEO of BCS Oleg Mikhasenko, Deputy Finance Ministry Sergey Storchak, CEO of NAUFOR Alexey Timofeev and CEO of Tinkoff Bank Oliver Hughes. CEO of Moscow Exchange Alexander Afanasiev will moderate the session.
In the afternoon, panel discussions with representatives of government agencies and Russia’s largest financial institutions will focus on "Exchange vs OTC: no difference yet?", "Capital raising: a boom after the downturn", "Digital assets – storage and service", "Debt market: yesterday, today, tomorrow", "The Board’s role in shaping the investment profile of a company" and "Compliance: best practices and leaders experience".
This year’s forum is partnering with BCS Global Markets to arrange one-to-one meetings between domestic and international investors and Russia's largest corporations. Closir, a leading corporate access technology platform, is technology partner for the event.
