Yury Denisov re-elected Chairman of the Executive Board of Moscow Exchange through 2025
On 27 October 2021, the Supervisory Board of Moscow Exchange approved the election of Yury Denisov as Chairman of the Moscow Exchange Executive Board from 13 May 2022 for an additional three-year term.
Mr. Denisov's current term of office as Chairman of the Executive Board of Moscow Exchange is scheduled to expire on 12 May 2022.
In accordance with best corporate governance practices, the MOEX Supervisory Board initiated re-election the head of the Exchange well in advance, defined his term of office and approved the terms of his employment contract for a new term.
Oleg Viyugin, Chairman of the Moscow Exchange Supervisory Board, said:
"The Supervisory Board appreciates the results achieved by Yury Denisov and his team. The launch of new products and services, extension of trading hours and improvement of technology have allowed Moscow Exchange to attract new issuers, millions of investors and new liquidity. The company has consistently executed on its strategy to enter new lines of business. The Supervisory Board expects that under the continued leadership of Mr. Denisov, the Exchange will continue to expand its business and grow value for shareholders."
Yury Denisov has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Moscow Exchange since 16 May 2019. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial markets, including senior positions within major Russian financial institutions. He is a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations with a degree in International Economic Relations.
