Moscow Exchange has initiated unification of connectivity schemes

Moscow Exchange have initiated unification of connectivity schemes for all clients. All existing client connections before 1 December 2014 must be migrated to any of 6 schemes below:

  1. Unified connectivity scheme — leased line with fully functional access to all MOEX markets. The scheme requires MOEX managed router on the client side as well as a separate network service agreement with one of MOEX authorized providers on leased line service between the client office and provider facility.
  2. ConnectME solution — leased L2 line providing fully functional access to all MOEX markets by any provider of your choice. The scheme requires MOEX managed router on the client side as well as a separate network service agreement with chosen provider on leased line service between the client office and MOEX facility plus a trilateral agreement between the Moscow Exchange, the client and chosen provider.
  3. Colocation — client equipment colocation at the Exchange facility (M1 DC) with direct connectivity to the Exchange network.
  4. Internet access — market access with limited functionality (only limited list of services is available).
  5. MOEX point of presence in London — connectivity between the client facility and MOEX equipment in Equinix LD4 DC using leased line of any provider (only limited list of services is available).
  6. Exchange connectivity through global financial networks — Extranets (only limited list of services is available).

Please be informed that if your current connection scheme to the Moscow Exchange differs from the schemes above, you must:

  1. Reorganize your connection scheme in accordance with the Exchange requirements.
  2. Sign corresponding IT service agreements if necessary.

After migration process is complete, the Moscow Exchange will discontinue old connection schemes and no market access through these connection schemes will be possible after 01 December 2014.
